The crazy black moon,
Came out one noon,
To meet a saintly goon,
Who cursed him with a boon.

The moon wept from his nose,
The goon ate the moon with his toes,
With open eyes, he then did doze.
The eyes began to run, hence he let them close.

Don't you laugh, it is not comical,
The story is infact a veridical.

*As a part of NaPoWriMo. #16
*The prompt by NaPoWriMo today was: "to write a ten-line poem in which each line is a lie. Your lies could be silly, complicated, tricky, or obvious.
*Also, do visit my friends who are participating in the challenge. You won't be disappointed.

  1. This was fun. You have done it beautifully :)

  2. Now this sounded like some folklore! :D
and sorry but I had to google the meaning of 'veridical' :D

  3. Lol :D Damn good one Pooja.... :)

  4. am not laughing!! hahaha

  5. Your poem is intrinsically wrong
    Can a moon so strong
Come at noon with a big bong?
A black moon is what puzzled me all along...
    But your poem, so strong
compels me to play along! ;)

Your short poems are really sweet di! Always make my day :D

    1. :P Silly di of yours. I hope you are taking care of yourself.

  6. Your poems let me learn new words even as I enjoy the rhyme !

Admiration or contempt, bring it on!
